SOY PROTEIN / PROSTATE

SOY AND THE MALE PROSTATE

Recently I stopped using soy protein where possible because of the following facts.

I had been using a protein containing soy protein for several years and also started using a new soy bar for snacks.

Within a few days I started feeling minor pain in the lower abdomen. This coincided with a resurgence of reports on studies showing links between soy and men's prostate problems, so I immediately stopped using the soy bars. This gave some releif  so I decided to change from the protein containing soy as well.

I have had no problem in this area since.

My conclusion is that soy can definately be a problem for men especially in later years, so I would personally recommend that any male over 40 avoid it, and if you're younger, why take the chance.
